 Interactive Panel Discussion

On February 16, 2005 , members of The Department of Children and Families and the Connecticut State Police presented an interactive panel discussion on “Parent Rights When Your Child Reaches 16”.  The program which ran from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. was attended by

approximately 35 persons including Ellis Tech parents and community members.  The program was informative and very well received.

Three Major Fundraisers

The 13th Annual Country Antique Show, our biggest money making activity of the year has received recognition in national antiques trade papers.  Students make a major contribution in the construction and wiring of the 50 booths as well as by providing porter service to the dealers.  Faculty members donate almost all of the luncheon ingredients and both faculty and parents assist with the multitude of details.  This year the show took place on Saturday, March 19, 2005 , and yielded over $11,000 for the projects of the PFO.

The Winter Thaw Flea Market drew its largest crowd ever with a gate of over 800 eager bargain hunters on Saturday, April 9, 2005 .  Parents and students under the energetic direction of Melody Guillemette, worked together to raise over $3000   for the cause.

The Fall Craft Fair took place on Saturday, November 6, 2004 .  This event, a joint effort of parents, faculty and students, is always eagerly anticipated by the community and annually raises approximately $2000 for PFO projects.

Ellis Tech T-shirts and Sweatshirts are available in white, royal blue and grey.   M-XL short sleeve t-shirts are only $10; XXL are $11.  M-XL long sleeve t-shirts are $15; XXL are $18.  M-XL sweatshirts are $20; XXL are $22.  Hooded sweatshirts are $25;  2X are $27; 3X & 4X are $40.
