The Special Drug Awareness Presentation by Gary Jost, Ellis Tech Patrol Officer and George Grauer, Plainfield School Resource Officer was so well received by the parents that what was planned as a half hour program evolved into 1 ½ hours of lively interaction. Topics addressed included Club Drugs, paraphernalia and stash devices.  One parent described the program as “eye-opening.” 

 

New Meeting Time: The third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

 

New officers elected—Congratulations to co-presidents, Melody Guillemette and Kathy Faucher; treasurer, Linda Edmonds; secretary, Jan Praytor; and check signer, Kim Ellis.

Congratulations to students in Mr. Belair’s homeroom.  For having the greatest number of parents attending the October PFO meeting, these students will receive ice cream gift certificates.

Congratulations to new PFO member Robert Paquin.  He won the drawing at the October meeting for a $25

 

gift certificate to Bryan’s Pasta & Grill.

The Fall Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2003 from 9-4.  It promises to be bigger and better than ever.  Call Melody at 774-4947 about space availability and donations of chili,  cornbread, or your time.  Come out and support our first major fundraiser of the year!

The following will be available for purchase during the two Parent Conferences, Fall Craft Fair, The Ninetieth Anniversary Celebration Evening and the Shop & Technology Fair:

 

Dine Out Entertainment Books—Each valuable booklet contains thousands of dollars of coupons for goods and services you use everyday and are available for the Northern Connecticut area for $30. Southern Connecticut books are $22, books for  the Worcester, Springfield and Rhode Island areas are $20, and books for most areas across the U.S. are available online.  Be sure to identify Ellis Tech PFO as the sponsor so we can receive credit.  Also, as a special incentive, anyone who purchases 5 booklets will receive a special

 

bonus gift. Get them now—they will only be available until December 9, 2003.

Ellis Tech T-shirts and Sweatshirts are available in white, royal blue and grey.   M-XL t-shirts are only $10; XXL are $11.  M-XL sweatshirts are $20; XXL are $22.  Hooded sweatshirts are $25.  2X, $27; 3X &4X $40.

 

No Hassle for the Tassel Certificates are only $25.  Purchase a certificate and we won’t bother you for a whole year
