PFO Meeting--Minutes

The
Entertainment Book Fundraiser has earned approximately $300.
The
Evening of Giving Fundraiser earned approximately $100.
As
of
Plans
for the PFO presentation, “What to Expect When your Child Reaches 16” are in
the works. Further information will
be available on the website and via the autodialer.
Topics
discussed:
The
2004-2005 PFO budget allowed a capital expenditure for new antique show booths
this year. A prototype booth will be
constructed by the carpentry department to help determine a more accurate cost.
Motion
#1 A motion to provide up to $200 in start up expenses for the Varsity Club’s
food concession fundraiser at the 2-day basketball tournament to be hosted by
Ellis Tech. The profit will be
donated to the Varsity Club. The
motion was made by Kim Duerr and seconded by Silenea Ketchum.
The motion carried.
Motion #2 A motion to pay the $150 fee for a deserving student to attend
the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership seminar this spring was made by Kim Duerr
and seconded by Heidi Montigny. The
motion carried.
Motion #3 A motion to pay up to $100 for checks and deposit slips for the
PFO bank accounts was made by Kim Duerr and seconded by Heidi Montigny.
The motion carried.
Motion #4 A motion to approve payment of the cost of the entertainment
books bought during the Entertainment Book fundraiser was made by Silenea
Ketchum and seconded by Heidy Montigny. The
motion carried.
Motion # 5 A motion to pay $3 for each Evening of Giving ticket sold.
The motion was made by Heidi Montigny and seconded by Silenea Ketchum.
The motion carried.
Motion #6 A motion was brought to the table by Ms. Praytor to provide
$600 to support a $10,000 grant being applied for by Mrs. Edmonds.
The members are requesting more information before a vote.
The motion was tabled.
