The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m.

Topics discussed:

PFO meetings will now be held on the second Thursday of the month.

The Big Y Education Express Program is underway. Our number is 6710. The possibility of using our

current points to purchase P.E. equipment will be investigated.

Three parent information seminars will be held in conjunction with the next three PFO meetings. The programs will run from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., and the meeting will follow from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. The topic of the January 12th seminar will be "CAPT and the Academic Requirements for Graduation", and will be hosted by Linda Edmonds and Stephen Donnell. The February 9th seminar by Kathy Burr and Tricia Staley will highlight "NOCTI and the Trade Graduation Requirements." On March 9th, Mrs. Chamberland and Mr. Palladino will present "How Students Can Receive College Credit through the Tech Prep Program." Subsequent meetings will be held at the regular 6:30 time on the second Thursday of the month.

The criteria for Project Graduation, as developed last year, was presented and discussed. Mrs. Hamel will meet with Dr. Mignault regarding this event.

Motions:

            Motion #1 To pay $150 for the selected student representative to attend the Hugh O'Brien Leadership

Conference. The motion was made by Nancy Hamel and seconded by Laurie Brunsdon. The motion carried.

Motion #2 To pay the $99 balance for a deserving student to attend the 10th grade trip to Washington, DC. The motion was made by Lori MacDonald and seconded by Pat Palonen. The motion carried.

            Motion #3 To pay $400 for P.E. equipment for the school. The motion was made on behalf of Michelle Murray. After discussion, the motion was tabled to allow time to investigate alternative funding.

            Motion #4 To sponsor a Spaghetti Supper during a basketball game to benefit the senior class trip. The motion was made by Laurie Brunsdon and seconded by Nancy Hamel. The motion carried.

Motion #5 To provide $250 to the needy Ellis Tech students through the annual Giving Tree Project. The motion was made by Linda Edmonds and seconded by Laurie Brunsdon. The motion carried.

Motion #6 To accept the 2005-2006 budget as developed by the Budget Committee. The motion was made by Lori MacDonald and seconded by Kathi Williams. The motion carried.
