PFO Meeting--Minutes

 The meeting was called to order at 6:10 p.m.

Old Business: 

The Craft Fair was successful again this year.  Approximately $2000 was raised.
Approximately $600 was earned through sales at the two Parent Conferences.

Topics discussed:

Suggestions were made for improving annual Parent Conferences:  Hold conferences on one day with two sessions, one afternoon and one evening.  Include trade instructors.  Enforce 5 minute limits.  Enforce standing behind lines to protect confidentiality—perhaps with cones or ropes.  Make teacher business cards available for absent teachers.

A Bake Sale was planned for the Trade and Technology Fair evening, December 1.

Motions:

Motion #1 A motion to purchase t-shirts and sweatshirts up to $1000 was made by Chris Millette and seconded by Kim Duerr.  The motion carried.

Motion #2 A motion to front the cost of calendars for the Yearbook’s fundraiser was made by Dodie Mineau and seconded by Pat Palonen.  The motion carried.

Motion #3 A motion to buy two $50 gift certificates to a sporting goods or shoe store for two needy and deserving students to purchase basketball shoes was made by Kim Duerr and seconded by Chris Millette.  The motion carried.  

The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
