PFO Meeting--Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m.

 

Topics discussed:

            The Budget Committee will meet from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16 to set a budget for this school year.  They will present the budget at the next PFO meeting.

            The school store will be open on the December activity day.

            The wrestling team is planning a spaghetti supper fundraiser to be sponsored by the PFO.  The PFO has agreed to purchase the wrestling combos including skull caps for those making deposits.

            A date for the 2006 Car Show, a Project Graduation Fundraiser, is not yet confirmed.

            The treasurer’s report was reviewed.

            Kathy Williams will co-chair the Winter Thaw Flea Market with Melody Guillemette.

            Senior parents are needed to form a committee to plan for Project Graduation.

            Meetings for 2006 will take place at 6:30 on the second Thursday of the month.

 

Motions:

1.      A motion to accept the treasurer’s report as read was made by Heidi Montigny and seconded by Melody Guillemette.  The motion carried.

2.      A motion to refund the price of freshmen shirts to students who decided not to attend Ellis Tech was made by Heidi Montigny and seconded by Lori MacDonald.  The motion carried.

3.      A motion to provide $300 in seed money and $100 for an ad for the Wrestling Team’s Spaghetti Supper fundraiser was made by Linda Edmonds and seconded by Chris Millette.  The motion carried.

4.      A motion to purchase wrestling combos including skull caps not to exceed the number of $20 deposits received was made by Laurie Brunsdon and seconded by Kathy Williams.  The motion carried.

5.      A motion to pay up to $600 for science presentations for 8 sections of senior science classes was made by Heidi Montigny and seconded by Lori MacDonald.  The motion carried.

6.      A motion to pay up to $68 for the balance of a Hairdressing kit for a needy student was made by Chris Millette and seconded by Melody Guillemette.  The motion carried.

7.      A motion to provide the $75 deposit for 4 students who would like to attend the 10th Grade trip to Washington, DC (for a total of $300) was made by Heidi Montigny and seconded by Lori Brunsdon.  The motion carried.
