PFO Meeting--Minutes

October 16, 2003

Preceding the business meeting was a Drug Awareness presentation by Gary Jost and George Grauer.  It was exceptionally well received.

 

The  business meeting was called to order at 8:10 p.m.

 

Topics discussed:

The price of Ellis Tech t-shirts and sweatshirts was determined:

T-shirts: M-XL--$10, 2X--$11

Sweatshirts: M-XL--$20, 2X--$22

Hooded Sweatshirts: M-XL--$25, 2X--$27, 3X & 4X--$40

            $354 was taken in at the Freshmen Parent Night for t-shirts, entertainment books and bake sale items.

            Discussion of future presentations and incentives will take place at the November meeting.

Craft Fair:  Everything is coming along; we will have a large group of vendors.  Help is needed for the food concession; donations of cornbread and chili would be appreciated.

Robert Paquin’s name was drawn for the $25 Gift Certificate.  Mr. Belair’s homeroom had the greatest number of parents attending the meeting.  These students will receive ice-cream certificates.

            Volunteers were accepted for the available offices.  See motion below.

 

Motions

            Motion #1—to accept the following slate of officers for the 2003-2004 school year.

            Co-presidents: Melody Guillemette and Kathy Faucher

            Treasurer: Linda Edmonds

            Secretary: Jan Praytor

            Check signers: Kim Ellis & Kathy Burr

The motion was made by Melody Guillemette and seconded by Kathy Faucher.  The motion carried.

 

            Motion #2—to pay up to $300 for liability insurance.  The motion was made by Kathy Faucher and seconded by Kim Ellis.  The motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 8:35 p.m.

 

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 20, 2003, at 6:30 p.m.
