PFO Meeting
Minutes—September
19, 2002
The
meeting was called to order at 6:10 p.m.
Discussion
regarding possible Shoe Sale dates: November
15 would be best if it is still available.
Sale to take place from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in conjunction with a bake
sale. Cheri to take care of advertising.
Discussion
regarding a Golf Tournament Fundraiser.
Bill Clapp has a committee in place and ready to plan the event.
Sponsors are needed and the proceeds will be earmarked for sports related
activities such as summer sports camps, equipment, uniforms, etc.
Discussion
regarding a Spaghetti Supper to kick off the Basketball season.
Discussion
regarding the possibility of requesting donations of P. E. equipment
from corporations.
Discussion
regarding the acquisition of more 8’ folding
tables for the various fundraising events, or the possibility of refurbishing
the current stock.
Discussion
regarding a silent auction at the Craft Fair, November 2, 2002.
Motion
#1 Motion to pay for
advertising for the Shoe Sale—up
to $50—made by Cheri
Lukowski and seconded by Melody Guillemette.
The motion carried.
Motion
#2 Motion to buy 50 more
T-shirts to sell at school functions—made by Melody Guillemette and seconded
by Cheri Lukowski. The motion carried.
Motion
#3 Motion to pay the renewal
fee for the PFO liability policy—made by Melody Guillemette and seconded by
Cheri Lukowski. The motion carried.
Motion
#4 Motion to sell “Evening
of Giving” tickets to the fundraiser at the Emerald Square Mall—made by
Melody Guillemette and seconded by Cheri Lukowski.
The motion carried.
Motion
#5 Motion to sell “No
Hassle for the Tassel” tickets to parents for $25 each was made by Cheri
Lukowski and seconded by Melody Guillemette.
The motion carried.
Motion
#6 Motion to authorize
payment of the overage of $100 for the faculty lunch of August 28, 2002 was made
by Melody Guillemette and seconded by Cheri Lukowski.
The
next regularly scheduled meeting will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2002
at 6:00 p.m. in the faculty dining room.
The
meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
