PFO Meeting--Minutes

 Attendance:

 The meeting was called to order at 4:45 p.m.

 Topics discussed:

 The meeting was held at The Golden Greek Restaurant.

 PFO information will be sent home to parents this summer.  A letter will be sent out to class advisors with information about available funds and
 class pages on the website.

 Possible meeting dates for the 2005—2006 school year were discussed.

 The dates for the three major fundraisers were determined.  They are as follows:

                        Fall Craft Fair— November 5, 2005

                        Winter Thaw Flea Market— March 4, 2006

                        Country antique Show— April 1, 2006

A “Welcome Back to School” student dance will be requested for Friday, September 9, 2005 .  A dance committee will be formed and meet on August 8, 2005 at Christine Millette’s house to plan the details.  It is expected that the cost will be $2 for Ellis Tech students and $5 for guests.  Regular school procedures, such as guest pre-sign up’s, will apply.

 The first PFO meeting of the 2005—2006 school year will be on Tuesday, September 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the faculty dining room.

 Motions:

Motion #1 A motion to pay up $1000 for the expenses of a “Welcome Back to School” dance for students was made by Chris Millette and seconded by Phyllis Eck.  The motion carried.

Motion #2 A motion to accept the following slate of officers for the 2005—2006 school year was made by Jan Praytor and seconded by Heidi Montigny:

                        Co-Presidents—Melody Guillemette and Christine Millette

                        Treasurer— Linda Edmonds

                        Secretary—Phyllis Eck

The motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
