PFO Meeting--Minutes

 The meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m.

 Topics discussed:

The sale of the new Freshmen Exploratory T-shirts was discussed.  Orders will be taken at Freshmen Orientation Night for delivery in September.

The feasibility of initiating and maintaining an Ellis Tech Channel on the cable network was discussed.

The feasibility of opening and maintaining a school store with both PFO and student participation was discussed. 

The PFO would like to see more positive recognition of Ellis Tech students and activities in the local newspapers.

Linda Edmonds , Chris Millette and Melody Guillemette will bring these ideas to Mrs. Welburn.

A spring newsletter will be written and available at the May 4th Freshmen Orientation.

 

Motions:

Motion #1 A motion to pay up to $4 each for up to 30 plaques for seniors who have earned sports letters was made by Melody Guillemette and seconded by Chris Millette.  The motion was made by Chris Millette and seconded by Linda Edmonds .  The motion carried.  

Motion #2 A motion to pay $246.75 for an electronics kit for a needy student was made by Chris Millette and seconded by Melody Guillemette.  The motion carried.

Motion #3 A motion to take prepaid orders for Freshmen shop shirts to be purchased in August for dispersal in homerooms in September was made by Chris Millette and seconded by Linda Edmonds .  The motion carried.

Motion #4 A motion approving payment for the following graduation expenses was made by Linda Edmonds and seconded by Chris Millette.

            Academic Scholarship                                     $500

            Trade Scholarship                                            $500

            2 Community Service scholarships ($500@)   $1000

            The motion carried.
