Meeting Minutes
04/24/03

The meeting was called to order at 2:55 p.m.

In attendance were Vinnie Palladino, Melody Guillemette, Susan Manning, Phil Lozano, Maryanne Coleman and Jan Praytor.

Since the two previous meetings (Feb. 13 and Mar. 20) had been cancelled, the regular meetings times are being changed to promote participation.

 Topics for discussion:

Senior class trip options.

Parent participation in the CAPT breakfast.

Ellis Tech’s 90th anniversary and celebration possibilities.

 

The financial report for the Flea Market is final.  The profit realized was $1,675.58! 

Income from the T-Shirt sale during Freshman Shop Selection Night was $187.00 

The financial report for the Antique Show is incomplete pending receipt of a few more advertising bills.  Profit is expected to exceed $8500. 

Motion # 1—To pay for boutonnières for graduating seniors up to $500.  The motion was made by Susan Manning and seconded by Melody Guillemette.  The motion carried. 

Motion # 2—To pay for the senior luncheon up to $1200.  The motion was made by Vinnie Palladino and seconded by Phil Lozano.  The motion carried. 

Motion # 3—To pay for the mini diplomas up to $500.  Motion was made by Jan Praytor and seconded by Susan Manning.  The motion carried. 

Motion # 4—To pay up to $300 for refreshments for a reception after Awards Night.   The motion was made by Vinnie Palladino and seconded by Melody Guillemette.  The motion carried. 

 

Motion # 5—To pay for the following awards for graduating seniors:

          12 Shop Awards at $50 each

          1 $500 Award for Outstanding Shop Student

          1 $500 Award for Outstanding Academic Student

          1 $500 Community Service Award

The motion was made by Susan Manning and seconded by Phil Lozano.  The motion carried. 

Motion # 6—To pay for retirement plaques or clocks for each of the 11 current retirees up to a total of $700.  The motion was made by Jan Praytor and seconded by Susan Manning .  The motion carried. 

Motion # 7—To purchase a $150 Gift Certificate for a shopping trip to Danielson Surplus and a $25 gift basket for a needy student.  The motion was made by Jan Praytor and seconded by Phil Lozano.  The motion carried.

 Dates for next year’s major fundraising activities will be discussed at the next regular meeting.

 The next regular meeting will be held at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 15.
