PFO Meeting--Minutes

Pre-meeting Presentation:

Elizabeth Cracco spoke to the group on “Depression and Teen Suicide”.  She covered the topic very thoroughly and included statistics, criteria, causes, treatment, and how parents can best respond to the problem.

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.

Topics discussed:

            The Flea Market was a great success.  Proceeds at this point are in excess of $2000.

             Assistance is needed for the upcoming Antique Show.

             A phone message will be sent if the April presentation is postponed.

             The possibility of purchasing medals for graduating seniors was discussed.

Motions

 Motion #1—To pay $199 for the balance of the New York Drama Club Trip for a deserving student.  The motion was made by Melody Guillemette and seconded by Kathy Faucher.  The motion carried.

 Motion #2—To pay up to $600 for expenses of the Spaghetti Supper at Freshmen Shop Selection Night.  The motion was made by Pat Palonen and seconded by Dodie Mineau.  The motion carried.

 Motion #3—To pay up to $600 to replenish our supply of Ellis Tech T-shirts and sweatshirts.  The motion was made by Melody Guillemette and seconded  by Kathy Faucher.  The motion carried.

The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 15, 2004, at 6:30 p.m.
